Ashwagandha Root (Withania somnifera)

Dried chopped Ashwagandha root, grown without sprays, hand harvested, air dried.

Ashwagandha is a wonderful adaptogen. It is a tonic and restorative herb, strengthening and supporting physically and mentally. Studies have shown it to be helpful for anxiety, sleeplessness, and stress reduction.

Dried roots can be used for decoctions and tinctures. Roots should be steeped for longer periods of time (up to a few hours) than leaf and flower herbs. Store dried roots in an air tight container, away from moisture and light.
